The game was tied by the burst of soto, but it was Kendrick who truly shattered the collective hearts of Dodgers Nation since the veteran infielder smashed against a slam that hit at the Nationals ticket with the Cardinals. Kendrick has made some mistakes on defense from the show along with his bat was rather quiet throughout the series also, but he silenced everything together with this long run to dead-center area and I believe his bat can warm up from here and I will look to find additional value out of him at this cost and in 1.5x his points because the All-Star inside this lineup. I mean, lets be mindful of the season this man. Sure lefties were absolutely mashed by him along with his best work came at home. But he hit .327 with a .221 ISO, .930 OPS, .385 wOBA and 136 wRC. He posted a .211 ISO, .838 OPS, .345 wOBA along with 110 wRC+ against righties on the road this season. That series-clinching grand slam came to the road against a righty from the Dodgers Joe Kelly. And perhaps best of all, is that the fact that Kendrick has absolutely owned Mikolas within their history against another. The veteran has now gone for 11 (.727) with a home run and a triple against Mikolas. I am pretty sure I will take that on top of the job he has done complete this year and the work hes submitted against pitching.
UTIL — Anthony Rendon (WAS) — $9,500 vs. STL
I mean, it is just really tricky to leave Rendon out of any Nationals pile at this point. Obviously he would make for All-Star or even a great MVP, but with Kendrick in that area we could get some value if he had been to out-perform Rendon, along with his job against Mikolas, its entirely possible. Still, once the Nationals needed a calming presence in their lineup to will them back to even against the Dodgers, it was Rendon who began it with a solo bomb from Kershaw to deliver the Nationals within one before Soto tied up it on the very next pitch. Moreover, it was Rendon who set the Dodgers on the ropes with a double in the 10th to put runners on third and second and the burst from Kendrick. I meanthe season this man has is going to earn him a paycheque that offseason as a free agent. He smashed pitching from both sides of the plate, posting a .320 typical, .271 ISO, .996 OPS, .411 wOBA along with 153 wRC+ against right-wing pitching. He handled very similar breaks on the road against righties as well, so there is no way Im leaving him out of the Nationals stack tonight.
UTIL — Matt Carpenter (STL) — $5,500 vs. WAS
Carpenter has never been able to work his way into the Braves lineup consistently at those playoffs and if he failed to get a start in Game 5 he cried in his lone at-bat before being eliminated for a defensive replacement thanks to the Cardinals constructing a whopping 10-run direct at the first inning. The reality is, as he is more than competent despite enduring a season year at 2019, I am waiting for this guy to unload on some thing. After restarting a 36 home run season and posting a .266 ISO, Carpenters production dropped to just 15 homers and a .166 ISO to go along with a .315 wOBA and 95 wRC+. His numbers against righties were solid from an energy perspective with a .177 ISO and .737 OPS, but he finally fell under league average against righties also. That said, I do like the fact that Carpenter appreciated his seasons month in September leading up into these playoffs when he struck to get a .233 ISO, .866 OPS, .364 wOBA and 127 wRC+. He also homeredin just two of his final three regular season contests but nevertheless managed to log just nine plate appearances across five matches in the NLDS, when he published a good .748 OPS because of 3 walks. Hed knock in three runs at that moment. In other words, Im searching to encounter one tonight and then give us some top quality value at potential low ownership in this one.
UTIL — Paul DeJong (STL) — $7,000 vs. WAS
