Marc Marquez, whos on the verge of a MotoGP world title, has escaped serious injury following an accident in practice in the Thai Grand Prix.
The Spaniard, 26, arrived off his Honda at turn seven and slid across the trail as his bike flipped behind him.
Marquez had scans and was taken to hospital but had been declared fit for the second session.
We were lucky today – he is OK, Honda team boss Alberto Puig said.
Marquez went to the hospital to inspect everything, they did an MRI and everything looks fine.
He had a contusions at the trunk and also in the legand here at the hip just a little bit, but nothing to be worried about.
Defending champion Marquez, who leads the standings by 98 points, could win the tournament when he picks up at least 2 things more than closest rival Andrea Dovizioso at Thailand.
