NFL Hall of Famer and former VP of player personnel Gil Brandt proposed that Lloyd should be contacted by the Bears.
“Frankly, I really don’t think it will be long until we see that a girl burst during this NFL barrier. I’d give her a fair tryout if I were, say, the Bears.”
The Bears have tried out nine kickers since the end of this 2018 season. 10 field goals were missed by cody Parkey, their kicker past season, including a within their loss in the NFC Wild Card round against the Eagles along with the team has Eddy Pineiro as their kicker.
“So many folks are starting to believe’will there be a feminine [participant ] in the NFL?” I believe we’re kind of at that crossroads as far empowerment.
I’ve definitely got a few enquiries, I have definitely got people talking. Whatever is possible but right now I’m strictly a football player and we’re going to find out what the future holds,” Lloyd told Sports Illustrated.
The US Women’s National Team perform with a friendly while the Eagles visit the Jets. Can a woman kick in the NFL? Yes, even Lloyd obviously has the leg strength and many others do too but sadly it won’t happen within this preseason.
