Charlie Hills Is Currently looking forward to Watching Stewards’ Cup Enthusiast Khaadem Yield to the Degree in the Sprint Cup at Haydock.
The Angel colt has been a color disappointing on his previous appearance in Group One company when seventh in the Commonwealth Cup at Royal Ascot in June – finishing 10 lengths behind Martyn Meade’s Sprint Cup favourite Advertise.
A runner-up finish behind raider Waldpfad in the Hackwood Stakes at Newbury was a step in the ideal direction and then he turned what is usually among the sprint handicaps of the season into a procession in Goodwood on his appearance.
Hills told Sky Sports Racing:”They had a bit of rain last week, but it should not be a issue. There is perhaps forecast later in the week, or so the floor might be on the flip side, but this should be handled by him.
“It was fairly slow in Newbury when he won there in the spring, so I’m fairly relaxed really.
“We were very far back at halfway (at the Stewards’ Cup). He showed a great turn of foot and forced a great deal of earth up, although they came back for him a little bit.
“We’ve been pleased with him because. It’s a huge step up in the disability to some Group One, however, I believe it’s the only way we could go really.”
