Los Angeles Rams linebacker Clay Matthews will likely be sidelined for four to six months trainer Sean McVay told reporters.
Matthews will undergo operation, based on McVay. That is not good to us, the coach said. That is a major harm.
Matthews continued the injury during Los Angeles 30-29 loss to the Seattle Seahawks.
McVay says that he considers it happened when Seattle running back Chris Carson kicked at Matthews from the face.
33, matthews, was away to a solid start in his first season with the Rams.
Hes six sacks, two forced fumbles and 19 tackles in five matches.
Matthews, who spent his first 10 NFL seasons with the Green Bay Packers, has 89.5 career sacks in 148 matches (142 starts).
Rams receiver Brandin Cooks (concussion) was hurt and was put at the NFL protocol.
Cooks was hurt in the fourth quarter.
Cooks has 20 receptions for yards and a touchdown. He topped 1,000 receiving yards with all the New England Patriots and with the Rams at 2018 – double with all the New Orleans Saints, after in each of the preceding four seasons.
