Marcus Edwards, that was compared to Lionel Messi by Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino, seems set to join with an undercover Portuguese club on a permanent thing.
The attacking midfielder had a loan stint in the Netherlands last year, where he made 25 appearances for Excelsior.
He also had a loan spell in Norwich but made one Championship appearance for Daniel Farke’s side.
The 20-year-old was the best scorer in the U19 UEFA Youth League at 2017/18 with four objectives in six starts through the group stage, and is under contract before 2020 in Tottenham.
He scored a further five goals in nine Premier League two looks.
Edwards has represented England at U16, U17, U18, U19 and U20 amounts – winning the European U19 Championship at Georgia at 2017 using the Young Lions.
