Warrington coach Steve Price branded his team’s performance”unacceptable” when they had been beaten 26-4 by Leeds.
Semi-final following 27, the Wolves fell after the defeat Friday night and will face Castleford in a knockout.
“That is not a performance I’m pleased with,” Price explained. “It had been unacceptable what we dished up tonight.
“We had everything to play . Charge to Leeds, I thought they showed a lot of aim with all their activities.
“But we’d 15 errors. We have not done that for quite a long moment. We had our greatest missed tackle count.
“I did not see it coming. There’s a quality soccer team there and that is why I’m disappointed.
“To throw off two chances for two bites in the semi-final, that’s what I am filthy around.”
Cost is optimistic of having Declan Patton and forwards Joe Philbin back available after they missed the Leeds match.
Warrington will take at the Halliwell Jones Stadium on the Tigers next Thursday.
Price said he would focus on his side from the lead-up into the semi-final.
“It is all about getting our house in order this week,” he said.
“We need to tidy up a few things and do what we do well. We can fix a lot of things.
“We will find the gloves again. The championship rounds of it, isn’t it? Now is the place where you find your genuine believers out.
“We will need to contact our kind of footy.”
Leeds coach Richard Agar praised his players for giving a winning send-off to veteran Jamie Jones-Buchanan.
Jones-Buchanan, who is hanging up his boots after 20 years with the club, pinpointed a conversion at the 22-point win and captained the Rhinos in his game.
“It was brilliant,” Agar said.
“Emotion was likely to play a major part tonight for Jonesy. We knew the audience would thrive on our players flourished on it and that.
“Our defence was fairly excellent. We needed to make some powerful last-ditch efforts.
“However, I thought throughout the contest, defensively we kept up really well.
“This was a satisfying win and pleasing we won quite comfy in the end.
